Success story PCH Services Group

Everyone should be able to be themselves. That is the top priority at PCH Services Group. In 2014, this company took over the Helmond municipality's parking management. Retaining staff, including employees from Senzer, was a prerequisite. Adri Knapen, team leader at PCH Dienstengroep: 'You have to put the right people in the right place, then everyone can participate.'

Wondering how inclusivity works for your business?

Adri likes to take a look at the bike shed next to Alsace Passage in Helmond. Not because he needs to, but mainly because it's cosy. 'This place is Edwin's second home, he arranges everything here and feels responsible. I never have to step in.' Edwin joined PCH Services Group via Senzer and runs the bike shed next to Alsace Passage. 'Because Edwin is doing so well, we hired him this year. He earns more now, and he should. I really don't know anyone better suited to this role. Everyone who parks their bike here walks away with him.'

Win-win situation

What Adri thinks is the advantage of working with Senzer? 'That you can hire people like Edwin, without running a lot of risk in the beginning. We were able to take our time to see if he would fit in with PCH. He certainly was. I have seen up close how much self-confidence Edwin has gained over the years.' Adri calls the cooperation with Senzer a win-win situation. 'As a company, you benefit from the advantages, such as running less risk, and at the same time you offer someone a chance.'

Feeling protected

The story of Edwin's career begins in the hospitality industry, where he worked for many years. When he suddenly found himself at home, finding a new job proved more difficult than expected. 'I was overweight and therefore had less self-confidence. The longer I sat at home, the harder it became.' Not much later, he came across Senzer. 'I was able to get back to work in a low-threshold way in catering, in Senzer's company restaurant. It was nice to be able to go back to work. I noticed a clear difference in this social workplace. Here you are not asked the impossible and I felt protected for the first time.'
