Retaining and attracting staff
As an employer, you want your employees to stay healthy, motivated and engaged. That requires more than just following rules or achieving targets. Being a strong employer means having an eye for the person behind the employee. Especially when the situation calls for it. Being a strong employer starts with taking good care of your people. By paying attention to development, workload, rosters, terms of employment, health and atmosphere in the workplace, you are better able to retain staff. It also makes it more attractive for new employees to choose your company. The Work Centre can advise on sustainable employability. If you go for sustainable employability, you invest in the future.

Learning and working

In learning and working, an employee combines training with practical experience. While someone is learning for a trade or certificate, he or she directly gains relevant work experience within your organisation. This makes it possible to attract talent from other sectors or to train candidates without the right diplomas to become valuable professionals. Moreover, employees are productive from day one and the training optimally matches your company's needs. This increases both commitment and flexible employability.

Apprenticeship programme

An apprenticeship programme is a form of learning and working where candidates are employed while being trained for a specific profession or work. Here, they take practical on-the-job lessons and, where necessary, additional classes to master professional language and skills. In this way, they develop in a targeted way into ready-to-work professionals.

Practical learning

Another example where you combine learning and working is on-the-job learning. (Future) employees take an MBO course aimed at practical learning. At the end of the period of learning and working, candidates receive an MBO diploma, certificate or practical training certificate.
